Our goal is to support creative learning and discovery. In order to make the Estonian energy sector more environmentally friendly and efficient, we need you young people. Those who want to create new solutions in a new way are not afraid to share their opinions and share our values.
We want that more and more young people in the science field would find their way to us - from IT students to engineers. To this end, we contribute to projects that awaken, deepen and keep young people interested in science.
Scholarships from Enefit
There are many challenges in the energy sector and our company is developing fast. Do you wish to make your own contribution during your studies into the development of technical needs as well as new solutions and to acquire knowledge about how the green transition takes place? HIGHER AND APPLIED HIGHER EDUCATION
Each year Enefit acknowledges talented students by granting scholarships. We support the students undertaking bachelor's, master's and applied higher education studies of engineering and IT study programs by providing them with 1,500-2,000 EUR scholarships. Applications to the scholarship contest of the 2023/2024 academic year's spring period are open from 22. February to 18. March. We are expecting applications with the keyword "Scholarship" via email at the address [email protected]. We invite students of TalTech to apply via TalTech Development Fund.
We issue scholarships to:
- Students in applied and bachelor's studies 1,500 €
- Master's student 2,000 €
We offer to scholars:
- professional internship and personal supervision;
- in case of successful internship career opportunities in the affiliated group;
- the topic for the final thesis and relevant supervision;
- an opportunity to shadow top specialists;
- an opportunity to take part in professional training courses.
In order to apply for the scholarship, you should submit:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV);
- extract of academic results.
We will announce the results of the scholarship contest in May.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING
We provide a scholarship of 500 EUR to vocational training students in the field of technology. We are expecting applications for the 2023/2024 academic year's spring period scholarship contest via email from 22. February to 18. March. We offer to scholars:

A cleaner future is in the hands of smart young people
The Talented Youth Energy Fund helps to acquire knowledge and make dreams come true! -Dear resident of Ida-Virumaa in the age group of 7-19. You have the opportunity to apply for financial support for the development of scientific and technical knowledge at Olympiads and competitions to participate and develop your hobbies. The application can be submitted by the adolescent himself, their parents or their representative.
The application round of the Talented Youth Energy Fund is open from 03.10.2023 until 06.11.2023
Knowledge from practical experience
We want to contribute to the studies of young people and motivate them to acquire the chosen specialty at the best possible level. To this end, we have launched several projects together with universities. We are developing cooperation in the field of research and development and advanced and continuing education with educational institutions that are important to us.
EXCURSIONS
We organise excursions to different Enefit sites, such as the Iru power plant, Paldiski wind farm, Auvere and Eesti power plants, oil refinery and Narva quarry, with the aim of enriching energy education. All science track students aged 16 and above are welcome to join. Teachers interested in the field trip are kindly requested to submit their application (doc) to [email protected].
COOPERATION AT TU
Soon, the students of the University of Tartu's majors will be able to complete a project-based internship related to Enefit. Young people solve situations that arise in real work situations and collaborate with the best in our field, improving their professional knowledge and developing the skills necessary for teamwork.
MANAGEMENT COURSE AT TALTECH
For more than a year, in cooperation with Tallinn University of Technology, we organize the course "Strategic development of the energy system", where both managers of Enefit's fields and other top practitioners present the challenges of strategic management in energy.

Four areas we focus on
We introduce the principles of sustainable energy to children
Together with the teachers, we have created exciting study materials about the basics of home energy saving for grade 3-4 students to raise primary and secondary school students' awareness of sustainable consumption. These materials can be used in different subject classes.
We help you experience the exciting world of science at the Energy Discovery Centre
We contributed to the reopening of the Energy Discovery Centre. It is a unique family centre focused on energy and science in Europe. We welcome nearly 80,000 small and large explorers a year who have the opportunity to try hands-on experiments and experience the scientific world on 95 different permanent exhibits on eight different topics.
We are introducing the story of Estonian oil shale in the Estonian Mining Museum
We have supported the creation of an interactive theme centre introducing the story of Estonian oil shale. The exhibition at the Kohtla Mining Park Museum will help to increase the interest of small visitors in science and thus support the growth of future engineers important to Estonia.
We tell our stories in schools
Our specialists and managers give dozens of guest lessons every year in schools. By sharing their stories, they talk about developments in the field of energy. This year, Enefit employees together give 100 guest lessons, which also celebrate the 100th anniversary of oil shale mining.
